WINTER
In February our theme was winter weather and winter animals.  We got to play with snow in our water table and our sand table became a winter wonderland.  We learned all about penguins and how they love the snow. We even made a science experiment - growing our own icicles. We also graphed and made estimates about whether Punxsutawney Phil would see his shadow.  We came out about even. Yeah spring!!

WINTER
In February we have been learning all about the season of winter.  We have been learning about hibernation and studied 3 different types of bears.  Did you know it takes 5 sitting kids to equal the size of a black bear?  A polar bear is 9 feet tall (that's a lot of kids sitting on the tape). We also built igloos out of sugar cubes and put the bears in their bear caves.
