All of our staff are certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. They are first aid and CPR trained. They have several years experience working with children and families.

Lisa Higgins-Smith L.I.C.S.W. Education Director/Lead Teacher 5 day Cool Chameleons class.
Lisa is Director certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work with a concentration in children and families. She has a Bachelors Degree in Education. She has been working in the field for over 30 years and began her career as a kindergarten teacher. She has been the Education Director at Holy Trinity for 21 years. Lisa also teaches courses in Psychology and Education at Middlesex Community College and Endicott College. My philosophy is that schools need to partner with parents and support them. They should be child and family focused. We should be a team that works together harmoniously.

Carol Mancini is the Lead Teacher for the Friendly Fish and the Busy Bees (2 day and 3 day class).
Carol is Lead Teacher certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Carol brings to the Jack and Jill Preschool Program a bachelor’s degree in Education and is also teacher certified K-3 in the public school system. Carol is very experienced and has been a teacher for 20 years both in child enrichment programs and the public school setting. Carol has worked at Jack and Jill since 2013 and brought with her over 15 years of experience in childcare. Carol took five years off from teaching to be a stay at home mom to her daughter. She returned to work as a public school substitute teacher when her daughter entered kindergarten. Carol believes that each child is unique and learns at their own pace and in their own way. She also believes that the foundation for positive learning begins in preschool and by making learning fun you create an environment in which children want to learn. In her spare time carol enjoys spending time with her family exploring nature, she dabbles in science and technology, and loves baking.

Shannon Carey is the Teacher for the Busy Bees and Friendly Fish Class
Miss Shannon is the Teacher for the Busy Bees 2 day class and Friendly Fish 3 day class.
She graduated from Quincy Vocational High School. She is Teacher Certified in Infant, Toddler, and Preschool by the Mass. Department of Early Education and Care. She has taught in early childhood programs for the past 12 years. She was a preschool teacher in Quincy massachusetts for 7 years and then moved to Tennessee and became a nanny. Her philosophy is that children learn best when the environment they are in feels like a safe space and they can play freely.
